Hey hows it going everybody?

"Long Term Effect" begins its shooting next week! ill post another topic about that this weekend.

But
For right now I'm trying to figure out how to make a fake syringe. I had the idea of plugging in a spring so a fake needle would go back into the syringe it self, but then also maybe a liquid that would somehow disappear once injected.

I've looked online and there isn't really a lot of "How to do's" in less I'm looking at the wrong places, also found them on sale too but i at least wanna try making it first b4 having to have to buy it.

So any help would really help.

I guess what I'm trying to recreate is the "over dose shot into the heart" scene in the movie Pulp Fiction. the way they did it was just separate the takes and cut it right b4 the stabbing.

http://www.youtube.c...feature=related

Sure i could do that too, but i also maybe wanted to show the stabbing.

Also if you watch the scene from the URL above at the end you know how she still has the syringe in her chest does anybody know maybe of what can be used to keep the fake syringe attached to the chest like I'm sure its a glue but what glue?

I actually have one I used years ago on a film.

It's a actual prop that lets you go from injection to showing the liquid change within.

Let me look through all my prop boxes and see if I can find it. :S

maybe this is a dumb idea, but its an idea...

what if you used a real one, and cut to a close up of the persons chest, but instead of it being them it could just be like the same shirt with something inside it so it looks like its the

person...and then you could show it injecting and everything...

It turns out I'm going to be needing a fake syringe myself in my next project...

As for drift's idea of using a real one on a dummy person...ehhh...idk...because to give a syringe, you would usually expose the skin. And it has to be some realistic looking skin for the effect to pass. That is, unless, someone is stabbing someone with the syringe.
